If you are a licensed psychotherapist with at least five years of clinical experience and you are ready to step out of the expert role and into your own emotional and relational work, this group was designed for you.

This is not supervision.
This is not case consultation.
This is psychotherapy.

We focus on internal experience, emotional life, and relational patterns as they unfold in real time. We stay with feelings and meanings—not strategies. Advice-giving is not the norm and, if requested at all, is used sparingly.

In this group, we are less interested in how you practice therapy and more interested in how being a therapist lives inside you.

What Makes This Group Different

This here-and-now psychotherapy group in Plymouth, MI is structured as a biweekly, 90-minute, in-person cohort that meets every other Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

The work centers on what happens between members in the room:

  • When you move toward connection
  • When you withdraw
  • When you feel misunderstood
  • When you feel the pull to manage, fix, or perform competence

Reflections, resonances, and curiosity are emphasized over analysis and problem-solving. Members may bring work experiences when they are about how they are personally impacted. We stay with relational and emotional experience—not clinical technique.

Because the group meets biweekly, relational themes stay alive between sessions. The pacing supports continuity while allowing integration.

Who This Here-and-Now Psychotherapy Group Is For

This psychotherapy group for therapists in Plymouth, Michigan works best for clinicians who:

  • Want to explore their own emotional and relational experience
  • Are willing to examine patterns that emerge in real time
  • Want to practice being present without relying on professional identity
  • Are ready for depth, tension, and honest dialogue

It is designed for therapists seeking personal therapeutic work with peers—not professional consultation.

What You Can Expect Over Six Months

Across the six-month cohort, members can expect to

  • Increase awareness of how they relate to others in real time
  • Speak more honestly about internal experience, even when vulnerable
  • Tolerate disagreement, emotional impact, and tension without withdrawing
  • Experience being known by peers without performing or managing
  • Strengthen their ability to remain engaged during discomfort
  • Explore identity, meaning, and limits beyond the role of therapist

At the three-month mark, we intentionally pause to reflect on fit, depth, and commitment. That pause is part of the design. It allows members to assess their experience and consciously recommit to the remainder of the cohort.
